A Message From Our CEO

“Being safe from threats should not be a privilege afforded to the few, but an essential right to all.”

Eric Giroux, President & CEO, RaySecur™

Millimeter-Wave Technology: the New Frontier

RaySecur™ has developed a breakthrough technology based on millimeter waves, capable of detecting and confirming powders, solids, liquids and all forms of CBREs (chemical, biological, radiological, and explosive composites) inside envelopes and small packets. Our  second-generation technology, a far more advanced version of the tech used at airports, relies on dynamic video scanning from all possible angles—a vast improvement over traditional X-ray, two-angle-only static scanning.

Designated as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology by the United States Department of Homeland Security and backed by INO, a recognized world leader in optics and photonics solutions, this unique technology is key to ensuring the safety of people around the globe, from private companies considered “high risk of threats” to VIPs, government agencies, postal agencies, elected officials, and celebrities.

Terrorists and other disgruntled forces know full well mailrooms and other mail receipts offices are the weakest link within an overall site security plan, heavily hampered by technological, financial and logistical limitations. With RaySecur’s millimeter-wave technology, those limitations are lifted—the technology is cutting-edge performant, safe, more cost effective than alternate solutions, user-friendly and end-user targeted. Plus it’s delivered in a compact physical format.

By providing a safe accessible detection technology, RaySecur wants to transform mail screening from a niche market to a mass market. Being safe from threats should not be a privilege afforded to the few anymore, but a right essential to all.

Eric Giroux, president

The man behind the technology

A graduate of Harvard University, Eric Giroux spent over 20 years managing people, operations and revenue growth in extremely competitive industries. His foray into hazardous technology based on cobalt, iridium, gamma rays and X-rays compelled him to search for a safe alternative. His wish to serve and protect the community through the military never having been granted, he saw this new pursuit as a second chance—it was his calling renewed and revitalized.

His quest led him to INO, the National Optic Institute. Eric’s journey was quite eventful, meeting NASA’s Chris Hadfield, the first Canadian to pilot the international space station, and several other dignitaries. The clout of the company he kept confirmed the significance of his role and the urgency to deliver.

In his new capacity, he rigorously investigated promising technologies for commercial development, his exploration eventually culminating into the development and commercialization of millimeter-wave technology as the best line of defense against evolving mail threats in a complex world. With the emergence of this breakthrough technology came the birth of RaySecur, an organization dedicated exclusively to global security, and a clear reflection of Eric Giroux’s pledge to make the world a safer place.
